 ed from abroad today (16th) and recce the sites.\nWet clay makes scramblin
 g up to the lower cliff faces not possible without ropes. A large tree is 
 fallen and blocking the path to the river shore which leads to the main vi
 ew of a 40ft section of sequence. The river Irthing itself is swollen and 
 the river bed geology not exposed.\n\nAt another site the path is deemed t
 oo slippery for members down to Crammel Linn waterfall. Similarly\, the hi
 gh volume of water is covering most exposures and sequences.\n\nConsiderin
 g the distance this locality is from most members with the decreased acces
 s and increased risk of injury from slips/trips/falls the organizer will c
 ancel the event. It would be nothing more than a walk through the woods ot
 herwise.
